The physically challenged in our communities have many needs, both large and small. Many of those individuals have multiple disabilities.  They struggle to navigate a world in which they are disadvantaged, not just by their physical challenges, but also by low expectations and misunderstanding. The nature of their struggles tend to be isolating. However, the disabled don’t need pity, they need to be empowered. They aren’t a project, they need partners to help them learn to thrive, and they need to be called into service and ministry themselves.
