MCC Florida Conference

The Medical Cadet Corps (MCC) of the Florida Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists (FL Conf.) is supported by the Pathfinder and Adventurer Department (PAD) and is answerable to the Florida Conference Administration and Executive committee. As such, the PAD Director is also the FL MCC Brigade General. Serving in this position is General Pedro Perez.

A separate ministry from Pathfinders and Adventurers, the FL Conf. MCC exists to provide a ministry for young adults (18+) to train to be a resource to both the State of Florida/Local Government Agencies and the Florida Conference of SDA. FL Conf. MCC will partner with FL Conf. Community Service Department to coordinate service opportunities. It is our goal to create a place for young adults to belong and be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever He leads.

FL Conf. MCC squads will be trained and certified by official government recognized agencies in order to be vetted by those agencies to serve in time of need or disaster. We will do all we can to connect FL Conf. MCC to State of Florida/Local Government entities to coordinate response and services.
Anyone 18+ may join and train with a local MCC unit, however, only those who are properly trained, certified, and deployable will be eligible to serve in an official capacity where they will officially represent FL Conf. MCC.

FL Conf. MCC units will be trained in Seventh-day Adventist medical missionary principles to be able to provide care for all whom the doors of missionary outreach may be open to—both members of the SDA Church and those that are not.

FL Conf. MCC units will receive training towards official certification in a variety of medical and government response training. Furthermore, they will be trained to study the Bible and to share its precepts whenever God opens the door of missionary opportunity. Members of the FL Conf. MCC are Medical Cadets for Jesus.

FL Conf. MCC will seek to create a family where SDA young people can find a place to belong and a place to serve. We desire to see an army of young people properly trained to assist State of Florida/Local Government agencies, the Florida Conference of SDA Constituency, and whomever we interact with in times of need.

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
