APOPKA MEMBERS PORTRAY ADVENTIST PIONEERS

A Heritage Sabbath program at Apopka, Fla., Church commemorated organization of the Adventist Church and the 168th anniversary of the Great Disappointment on October 22, 1844. Nine church members portrayed pioneers: Hugo Kennedy (Joseph Bates), Elias Lopez (William Miller), Chris Carey (John Nevins Andrews), Debbie Pinto, (Rachael Oakes), Roshani Sirigampola (Sarah McEnterfer), Gladymill Fuentes (Annie Smith), Courtney Wisdom (John Loughborough), Randy Allen (James White), and Jane Allen (Ellen White). Special guest Martha Natiuk, from Portland Ore., related human interest stories passed down through the family about her great, great, grandmother, Ellen White.
