With the help of his mother, Claude enrolled at The College of Westchester in White Plains, NY. There, he studied Computer Information Systems and graduated at the top of his class with recognition on The National Dean’s List.
Soon after graduating, Claude experienced a major loss in his life. This crises caused him to begin seeking answers to tough questions. From his adolescent years, he had a nagging sense there was more to life and a higher purpose for his existence.
In 1996, he traveled to Florida and, through a series of divinely orchestrated events, found what his heart longed for. He accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior and was baptized together with his grandmother at Mt. Sinai Seventh-day Adventist Church in Orlando, FL.
It was there he met his lovely wife, the former Martina Modeste. They have been on an amazing discovery journey of who God is and His work in the world. On June 24th they celebrated 15 years of marriage. They are the proud parents of Benjahmin, Joshua, and Sabriyyah Michelle.
In 1996, he continued his studies in Computer Information Systems at Oakwood University. However, the Lord had other plans. Feeling a conviction the Lord wanted to prepare him for other things, he changed his major to theology. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and a minor in Psychology. In 2010, Claude returned to Oakwood to complete a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in church development.
In 2012, he received a call from Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists to serve as the associate/youth pastor at Lauderhill Church. He is passionate about the spiritual health of individuals and the equipping of the church for its God—designed purpose. He reminds himself daily, “Today, walk with God.”
