COMMUNICATION TEAM MEMBERS RECOGNIZED

The Nominating Committee at Silver Spring Shores Church in Ocala, Fla., chose to include young adults as part of the communication team. While the theme of wanting to Use Them Or Lose Them gave birth to this choice, it soon became apparent upon observation of their performance in assignments and their technology savvy that these young people were great assets to the team.
Five of the team members graduated from high school in 2014 and were recognized in a special service. Dressed in caps and gowns, they marched into the sanctuary to the tune of “Onward Christian Soldiers.”
Graduates were interviewed on their achievements and charged to remain faithful members and represent Christ at college. A token gift was presented to each one, and a prayer on their behalf pledged that the chain of communication with the church would not be broken.
