Members of the Frostproof, Fla., Company dedicated their second new sanctuary within a three-year time frame. Hard work, perseverance, and ingenuity describe the talents of the congregation utilized under the direction of Rupert Preddie, lay pastor.
Officiating at the July 6 service were Paul Boling, former Avon Park pastor, and George Brown, retired Inter-American Division president, who likewise participated at the 2010 dedication of the first church home for the fledgling company. Approximately six years ago, 14 members of the parent Avon Park Church planted this church 10 miles north of their community. They purchased a four-acre property containing a house that was renovated to serve as the first church.
With a place to worship, the congregation’s attention turned to an existing 50? x 80? building on the property. With foresight, they envisioned using this building as the framework for a new church. Work proceeded on the renovations as monies came into the treasury.
When the first structure was dedicated to the Lord, Monica Preddie, communication director, wrote, “Frostproof Company members solicit consistent and fervent prayers to make their new church a lighthouse for the Lord.” They have accomplished that in not only building a new sanctuary, but in the many outreach programs conducted for the community, from Bible study groups to meeting the community’s physical needs with food distribution programs.

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
