Far beyond wood, nails, brick, and mortar—beyond the sweat, physical determination, and financial commitments of its members—the driving force behind Kissimmee Adventist Church and Osceola Adventist Christian School is the divine mandate to share the message of salvation to the community and the whole world.
For the last five years, with God’s guidance and provisions in every aspect of a building project, church members have worked to improve structural shortcomings on the campus that jeopardized steady growth.
By God’s grace, more than a dozen major exterior improvements have been completed. These included: retention pond rejuvenation, transfer to city sewage, installation of portable modules to serve as the new church school building, additional Sabbath School classrooms, a new church office, increased water supply for future expansion, enlarged entrance, paved driveway and parking lot, new landscaping and sidewalks, and lighting around the campus.
Interior upgrades were made to improve a new environment where church ministries can be effective: painting, ceramic flooring, ceiling tiles, a state-of-the-art sound system, and carpeting in the children’s classrooms.
In light of all these changes, church leaders express deep gratitude to members and friends for thousands of hours of unselfish labor; the availability of heavy equipment to assist in physical efforts; donations of a 6,000-square-foot school building, two school classroom portable buildings, and an office portable building; the generosity of Florida Hospital Kissimmee; as well as logistical and financial support from Florida Conference and the Southern Union Revolving Fund.
