Treasure Coast Adventist Churches are developing plans to set aside the last Sabbath in January each year as the 1 Corinthians 12:12 day of worship. Although each church is separate, when brought together, they believe and act as one body—the body of Christ.
At the first annual event held January 31, promoted as SingSpiration in the Park, more than 200 youth and adults from five churches in Florida and Southeastern Conferences met for a vesper service and bonfire social organized by Ewan St. James and the Adventist Youth Service (AYS) Committee of Midport Church in Port St. Lucie. Dale and Dianna Bass hosted the event on their Twin Lakes Park property.
Representatives from Florida Conference’s Midport Church, Fort Pierce Church, and Gethsemane Company in Port St. Lucie joined Southeastern Conference’s Port St. Lucie First Church and Macedonia Church in Fort Pierce for this evening of fellowship. All the participants were excited by the prospect of worshiping together and living out Paul’s admonition that we are one body with many parts.
“It was a beautiful outdoor service with nature displaying its magnificent sunset colors,” says Dale Bass. “As we watched the changes in the clouds and glorious rays break through, it was easy to believe the angels were worshiping with us.”
Singing and personal testimonies were the highlight for the sundown program with special music presented by: Supreme Gospel, a quartet from Gethsemane Company; United Fellowship Adventist Mass Choir from Port St. Lucie First Church and Macedonia Church; and Aquila Andrew from Fort Pierce Church. Marlon Brown, Kayla Brown, and Edgar Morales from Midport Church led spirited congregational singing of campfire songs.
Immediately following the sundown service, a giant bonfire was lit, producing audible expressions of amazement from church members who then enjoyed friendly competition in sack races, a frisbee toss, and other games.

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
