PORT CHARLOTTE VBS HIGHLIGHTS FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

Children at the Fruits of the Spirit Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Port Charlotte, Fla., planted corn and learned how to garden by providing water, light, and soil. “This process is just how Jesus plants His seed of love in the children’s hearts so they can grow to be like Him,” said VBS Director Angela Denis.
Each day, Senior Pastor Brian Cassell or Associate Pastor Alex Voigt spoke on how the day’s gardening theme applied to life: Grow Love, Sprout Joy, Plant Peace, Produce Patience, and Pick Kindness.
As an outreach follow-up, several children visited a nursing home to sing songs, distribute hand-made pillows and cards, and give lots of hugs.
