Rodny Aquino was born in the city of Barahona, Dominican Republic. He is the eldest of five children born to Emilio Aquino and Miguelina Florian.
Very early in his childhood Rodny gave his heart to the Lord and had the privilege of being part of almost every office of the Church from being a deacon at age 13, to becoming one of the elders at a very young age.
He felt the call to dedicate himself to the service of God motivated by the influence of his parents. He graduated as an electromechanical engineer at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.
In 1995, he moved to New York, where his life began to take another direction. The Lord brought him to Miami where finally God shows him more clearly what plan He had for Rodny’s life.
Rodny has been married to Maria for 22 years. God gave them two beautiful children, Mary and Rodny Jr. They are a great inspiration in Rodny’s life.
It is important to highlight that God’s plans for their children is always fulfilled, and that his work is perfect. One of the means God used to make his call clearer to pastor Aquino was the Church of North West Miami and a very special group of pastors: Gonzalez, Paulín, Cauley, Machado, Lopez, Jr., López Sr., Pr. de los Rios, Taveras, Herrera, Perla, Polanco, Zabala, Horuitiner, Presentacion, and Isai, among others. Pastor Fidel Falcon motivated him and told him that God had given him the gift, that he should go and study theology. That’s how he decided to go to Andrews Univesity for his theological preparation, which earned him a Masters degree in Pastoral Ministry.
Another very significant element in terms of his call, where he was able to appreciate the mighty work of God was the Church of Northwest Miami. While ministering there as a lay pastor under the supervision of Pr. Fidel Falcon, the church grew from 185 members to 430 members, North Miami Church got planted, and the Church filled again with active and mature members.
Florida Conference then make a call to Rodny to work full time in the Miami area. Currently, by the grace of God, he serves as Senior Pastor of District of Miami Beach and Miami Carol City churches, where his ordination took place.

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
