Message from Administration

Dear Florida Conference family,

Together with many of you, we were eagerly hopeful that our church doors would re-open on April 11, per our last communication. Unfortunately, due to new government and health department guidance, our churches and conference office will now remain closed until April 30, 2020. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and keep you informed of further updates.

In keeping with CDC guidelines, we are also canceling Pathfinder Red Zone and Impact Southwest events scheduled for May.

We know the financial and emotional impact these events will have on many people is significant. We ask our church leaders to have a gracious heart when dealing with the many issues this situation will present.  These may include struggling vendors, tenants who may be renting but unable to meet in your facilities, and countless other special requests. This is unprecedented territory that we should navigate with wisdom and care. Let us have a Christian spirit as we all cope together with the challenges of scarce resources and keeping our facility doors closed. Conference administration is also mindful of the plight of our churches that may face financial strain and will consider, case by case, the different needs of all.

Fortunately, there is some good news, as we have re-opened the Altamonte Springs ABC store. To serve you with appropriate precautions, they now provide curbside assistance Monday-Thursday 9 am-5:30 pm, and Friday 9 am-3 pm. Customers may call ahead and pre-order, or place their orders from their vehicles when they arrive at the store, and an employee will collect the items. Deliveries from the ABC will also continue as scheduled.

Finally, we hope that you have been able to connect with our various OpenChurch services and resources, and that they have been a source of comfort and communion. Please join us for vespers this coming Sabbath, April 4, at 6:30 pm, when Elisa Rahming, Florida Conference Treasurer, will be sharing a message.  Also, mark your calendars for a special Easter message from President Allan Machado on Sabbath, April 11.

We know that this is a stressful time with many unknowns, and we are all facing challenges unlike we have ever seen before. We continue to pray for each one of you as you lead your flock, that you cast all of your cares upon the Lord and remember, “Day after day He bears our burdens; God IS our salvation,” Psalm 68:19.

Thank you,

Florida Conference Administration

About Us

The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children in grades 1-4. Our mission is to support parents and caregivers in leading and encouraging their children in a growing, joyful love relationship with Jesus Christ.
The first few years of a child’s life sets the stage for their future.  For parents/families of pre-K through fourth grade children, our Adventurer Clubs provide a safe place to encourage the development of the necessary social and interpersonal skills they need, in an environment that promotes Christian values and responsibilities.
Families will learn a variety of topics together, from character building, nature, hobbies, safety, and much more. This club also has parenting tips and resources through the family network and is designed to help you be the best parent/caregiver you can be as you partner with your child and other families to grow your kids to be the best they can be. Most clubs meet twice a month.
